June's Topic: Talking to kids about death with Certified Child Life Specialist and professor, Abby Baker.
Abby Baker is a Certified Child Life Specialist and professor who supports children and families through serious illness and end-of-life experiences. In this session, she will share approachable, developmentally appropriate ways to talk with children about death, along with practical tools and activities that help children understand, express, and cope.
Death over Drafts is a casual event about all things death and dying. We will be brewing up conversations using The Death Deck, a lively tool to navigate many topics related to death. Most of all, we want to encourage meaningful connections and have fun while de-stigmatizing talk about the inevitable.
