August's Topic: Flowers & Death Culture with Jennifer Keene from the Southern Cemetery (RESCHEDULED FROM MAY)
Join Jennifer Keene from the Southern Cemetery Series as she traces the history and relationship of all things floral within death culture - from society's use of wildflower burials in caves to the Victorian Era Craze of Floriography in garden cemeteries and beyond.
Every attendee receives a free zine on floral symbolism and can create their own tussie-mussie as a keepsake.
Death over Drafts is a casual event about all things death and dying. We will be brewing up conversations using The Death Deck, a lively tool to navigate many topics related to death. Most of all, we want to encourage meaningful connections and have fun while de-stigmatizing talk about the inevitable.
